Install the AI Assistant extension, then go to Admin → AI Assistant and paste an API key from console.anthropic.com. Press Ask Claude something to check it works. Members then find it at /assistant.
🚨 It answers from your Knowledge Base and from nothing else. It is told to say "that is not covered" rather than guess, and every answer lists the articles it used so the person asking can check it. That is the design, not a limitation to work around — a support assistant that confidently invents an answer about your own site is worse than no assistant, because people believe it and act on it.
The practical consequence: the assistant is only as good as what you have written. If it keeps saying it does not know, that is the Knowledge Base telling you what to write next.
⚠️ Every question is billed to your Anthropic account. Set the per-member hourly limit to something you are happy to pay for, and set a spend cap at Anthropic as well — Convoro cannot enforce one for you.
Only signed-in members can ask. That is about the bill rather than secrecy: a rate limit needs somebody to count against, and the alternative would be keeping a permanent record of every visitor's IP address. Guests can still read the Knowledge Base itself.
Convoro records that a member asked and when, so it can count. It does not keep what they asked.
