Convoro is a core called System with applications on top of it: Forums, Downloads, Pages, the Knowledge Base. Any of them can be switched off in Admin → Modules, and a Downloads-only or Pages-only site works properly.
Switching one off hides its pages, removes its links from the menu, and stops its widgets being offered. Nothing is deleted. Turn it back on and everything is where it was, including widgets somebody had already placed.
Deleting data is what uninstalling does, and that is a separate and deliberate act.
