Yes. Restrict an article to your staff groups and it disappears completely for everybody else — from the index, from its own address, and from search.

When editing an article, tick the groups under Only these groups may read it. Anybody outside them gets a “not found” page rather than a refusal, because a refusal confirms the article exists.

Restricted articles are also kept out of search entirely, so nobody can discover one by searching for a phrase inside it, and they are never given to search engines whatever the indexing setting says.

That is what makes it safe to keep runbooks beside public help.
